HoD Safety& Geothermal Applications

During the course of the meeting organized by Professor Claudio Alimonti from the Department of Chemical, Materials, and Environment Engineering at the Università La Sapienza di Roma, it was discussed the technology of “Heart of Drilling (HoD)”, an advanced system for the continuous circulation in drilling, developed and patented at Drillmec. There is much evidence present to the advantages that distinguish this technology, including the control of pressure deep in the well coupled with increased cleanliness and stability of the well. In the current scenario of the oil market these characteristics are becoming fundamental requisites for the safety of personal, the efficiency of operation, and the reduction of cost. In addition, the geothermal sector, where research is trending towards a supercritical and high-temperature system or a system with medium-enthalpy, the HoD solution enables the reduction of cost, and an increased level of safety.
